Moving to New Zealand, what is it really like? � Why New Zealand?: "After a 3 week holiday touring the North and South Island of New Zealand on the premise of visiting my sister in Queenstown, we realised that with our skills and free spirits, there were alternatives to living in the big smoke of London, Birmingham or Manchester. My employer was close to bankrupcy and I knew a move of area was imminent. Never daunted by a challenge, my wife and I decided that moving to New Zealand was only slightly more upheaval than moving accross the UK to a new job, and far more exciting. We were still young and felt like we were ready for a bit of a change."
